Prospective Applicants

We are always keen to hear from prospective applicants and offer holders, and our members are more than happy to answer any questions about Oxford life, sport, and academics. We’ve also put together some answers to FAQs about Oxford life and sport, and have some links to organisations offering some really good support with Oxbridge applications. If you have any other questions, please do get in touch.

Alongside the Vincent’s Club (a centralized hub for elite Oxford sport – https://www.vincents.org/ ), Oxford Sports Clubs are working to improve outreach to student-athletes who would consider applying to Oxford and therefore we have set up a mentorship scheme.

This is aimed at offering support to those who may have less support for their application to study at Oxford. You are paired with a Mentor who studies the same subject and is a sporting athlete at Oxford and you have sessions with them to help you through the application process, admissions tests, interviews etc.

If you would like to sign up to the Mentorship Scheme please fill in the form here: https://www.vincents.org/pages/outreach

There are also some really good mentoring organisations that can offer mock interview and personal statement help for students without more support such as Zero GravityInsight Outreach, and Project Access.Summer schools like Target Oxbridge and UNIQ also offer some brilliant support. There are loads of great resources provided by Inside Uni, and you can also use college alternative prospectuses and College JCR access pages (like Teddy Hall Access) and resources like Oxplore. This Outreach Events link is updated regularly with a huge range of taster days and events for prospective students.
