BUCS Team Finals 2015

A successful season for OUSC came to a strong conclusion on Saturday 21st March, as Oxford secured an impressive 7th place finish at BUCS Team Swimming Championship Finals at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, fighting hard to maintain the same position as the previous year.

Having pulled through to snatch the final qualifying spot in the regional qualifiers in November, Oxford knew they were facing tough competition from the 10 top qualifying universities from across country.

Notable impressive performances came from Naomi Vides, Rachel Andvig and Kevin King, all of whom powered through to swim races back to back, as well as Matthew Courtis who also demonstrated his all-round talent, swimming multiple events.

For many of the team this was their swan song, notably President Naomi Vides and Captains Rachel Andvig and Xander Alari-Williams, who have dedicated much time and effort to the club during their time at Oxford. Thus the team were delighted to end on such a high, positive that Oxford can continue the good work in the coming years.
